Material Handler Job Description As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials to and from production lines. Your duties will include gathering materials from inventory, staging and wrapping pallets, and preparing products for shipment. You will work in both the production area and the warehouse/shipping area. 2nd shift 3:30pm-12:00am 1x $18.35/hr for 2nd shift Responsibilities Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials to and from production lines. Gather materials from inventory and deliver them to production lines. Transport materials from docks to inventory and from production lines to docks. Stage, stack, and wrap pallets. Prepare products for shipment. Load and unload trucks. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience operating sit-down forklifts. Experience operating stand-up forklifts (specific to Alsip location). RF scanner experience. Ability to load and unload trucks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in chemical, oil, or food manufacturing is a plus. Ability to perform repetitive motions. Both locations handle non-harmful chemicals and have similar operational processes, including manufacturing, bottling, staging, and shipping products. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago Heights Illinois. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $18.35/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
