Summary

The Inventory Control Clerk ensures that raw material and parts, are available to meet production schedules used to assemble new and repaired mechanical seals as well as new and repaired pumps. This job requires a high level of accuracy, a sense of urgency, and a desire to help the entire production team moving toward on-time customer delivery.

This is a 1st shift role.

Responsibilities:

  • Run and review ERP exception reports and action as required.
  • Process sales orders, order needed parts and create work orders for plant production.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts, and investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies to ensure ongoing inventory accuracy
  • Monitor daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on material availability to ensure system accuracy and integrity
  • Communicate status and issues with operations, the buyer, shipping/receiving, engineering, and customer support
  • Resolve problems with the right level of initiative, collaboration, and perseverance to satisfy requests while following procedures. Assist in identifying alternative options for supplying unavailable products and services from the Flowserve network and supply chain
  • Provide frontline response to application engineers located at our customers sites, for emergency and standard procurement of parts
  • Responsible for communicating order status changes for all internal orders

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience, such as ERP system, warehouse work or inventory management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, with the ability to learn online systems
  • Must have effective problem-solving skills to identify root causes of procurement and scheduling errors to prevent recurrence
  • Detail-oriented with a demonstrated track record of accuracy in pulling data, entering data, and creating reports
  • Must have good math skills to sort, check, count and verify numbers
  • Experience in positions that required personal ownership to complete tasks, investigate problems, and resolve issues with minimal supervision and an upbeat attitude
  • Good organizational skill with the ability to establish and change priorities based on demands
  • Able to clearly report information to others with a professional style that has a positive impact on the team
  • Demonstrated track record of steady, reliable work ethic and attendance. Must be able to work overtime as required
  • Must be able to lift and push large heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Must have full mobility to lift from floor and move parts to shelves.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience in lieu of education

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in SAP a plus
